Here's the thing: It's all about context. On the court, yes, he is profoundly unattractive; defiantly so. However,you get a few drinks in you (and by 'you,' I mean me), you're on vacation in Spain, a lanky man in maybe like a J Crew heather grey rollneck sweater smiles impishly at you from behind a foreign newspaper at a corner brasserie (maybe it's the South of France, I don't know), you're going to think he's attractive.
And, come on, he used to wear braces.
While watching the game last night, I was trying to fine ways in which he would be attractive. Maybe with a hair cut? Maybe in a tailored suit? By the end of the game I concluded that Mr. Gasol would never be attractive to me; not even after a bottle of wine while vacationing in Spain.

ReplyDeleteSeriously, I don't think he's bad looking at all, and I like his Eurohair. He's got one crazy nose happening there, but I don't see that as necessarily a drawback.
